It cost us quite a bit extra for a small room, further from downtown with none of the amenities we had booked this apartment for. We wound up spending the next hour and a half hunting down any hotels within the city that could house a family of five, which were few. They offered to do nothing for us other than refund our money, acting like it was a big concession and repeatedly reminded me that the reservation was nonrefundable. They were very matter of fact and didn’t sound like this was something out of the ordinary. When we came back at 5pm, we were informed that there were no other apartments available in the building and our only option was to stay in a different property they have several miles outside of the city. We assumed it would be a small snafu and another apartment would be substrituted. We had to beg the concierge (who was very nice) to let us stow our suitcases. We were told to kill some time and come back in an hour. We were told that the apartment that we booked was no longer available because it had been painted that day and they needed to find us something else. We are a family of five with two of the children under 10 years old. They contacted me early in the day to confirm my check-in instructions and apartment number. “Global Luxury Suites” is a 3rd party company (aka Churchill Apartments) that rents out apartments in buildings in cities around the country, and they are an unprofessional, disorganized, disaster. The building was so nice - immaculately clean and brand new, but we only got as far as the lobby. Booked a very pricey two bedroom two bath apartment in a gorgeous part of Washington DC for my family’s Spring Break vacation. Be warned! I travel quite a bit and have never in my life had an experience like this.
